Aubuchon Homes Receives Pinnacle Award for Industry Excellence

Aubuchon Homes is honored to have received a Pinnacle Award from the Lee Building Industry Association during their annual gala.  The Lee BIA held it’s Industry Awards at the Southwest Florida Event Center in Bonita Springs on Saturday, November 3rd. The Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence in the residential building industry in sales, marketing, and design.

The Lee BIA recognized Aubuchon Homes for Best Product Design for a private custom residence in the $1,500,000 to $1,999,999 price category.  The award-winning design was located in Cape Coral along a deep-water canal with direct access to the Caloosahatchee River.  The oversized site, located at the end of a cul-de-sac, offered endless possibilities for the homeowners to build a custom two-story dream home all within just over 3,200 square feet of living space.

The open, contemporary first floor is dedicated to everyday living.  The kitchen, dining room, and great room overlook a nearly uninterrupted wall of glass.  To bring the outdoors inside, the architects incorporated a series of pocketing sliding glass doors along with a fixed glass storefront window wall.  When open, one set of pocketing doors tucks discretely behind the window wall.  The expansive covered outdoor living space, with more than 1,100 square feet, is designed for entertaining and includes a sitting area, dining area, and even has room for a pool table.  This unique lot allowed the owners to dock their boat on along the side of the house, keeping the canal behind the home clear to enjoy the views.  The outdoor kitchen and pool bath are tucked away on the same side of the house as the dock.  A strategically placed wall behind the grill blocks the view of the boat from the house.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the homeowners incorporated a powder bath, laundry room, access to the three-car garage, and an elevator.  Just off of the great room, the master suite includes an oversized his-and-hers walk-in closet, separate vanity areas, and a 9-foot-wide walk-in shower.  In the entryway, glass railings along the stairway add a touch of elegance and keep with the overall modern feel of the home.  Visiting children and grandchildren have their own private sleeping, laundry, and living quarters hidden away on the second floor.
