Demand for New Homes Skyrocketing
Published on April 9, 2021
Drive down any street in Southwest Florida and you may notice the landscape is changing. New homes are going up across the area at a rate not seen since the boom of 2004.
Low mortgage rates and a shortage of available resale homes are the driving force behind this increased demand for new homes. So far in 2021, single-family home builders have pulled more than 1,890 construction permits in Cape Coral alone.
The demand for new housing also comes with concerns about the industry’s ability to keep up with the increasing demand for materials and labor. As a custom home builder, Aubuchon Homes works closely with clients to communicate any anticipated delays.
Recently, the Director of Operations, Justin Einstein, reached out to every client currently under contract with Aubuchon Homes. He assured them that efforts are underway to ensure homes are finished within the estimated construction timeframe, including ordering materials earlier and scheduling subcontractors as far in advance as possible.
“Aubuchon Homes will continue to make every effort to keep your home on schedule without compromising our standards of quality and excellence in every home that we build,” states Einstein.
Aubuchon Homes also uses a cutting-edge construction management website and app with a client portal to encourage good communication between everyone involved with each home.
