Aubuchon Homes Wins Prestigious Grand Aurora Award

Aubuchon Homes joined a list of distinguished builders when they were recently honored with a Grand Aurora Award and three Silver Aurora Awards. Celebrating design for living – the 41st Annual Aurora Awards is the design competition of the Southeast Building Conference (SEBC).
The Carleton, a single-family residence located in Fort Myers, won a Grand Aurora Award for Best Interior Detailing for a home priced $1-$2 million. The interior of the 3,620 square foot home is strongly influenced by a West Indies’ inspired design with coastal touches.
The Carleton won Silver Aurora Awards for Best Custom Home under 4,000 square feet and Best Bath Design for a Custom Home.
Evalutions by Aubuchon, who provided the exquisite furnishings and interior design for Carleton, was also recognized with a Silver Aurora Award for Best Interior Design of a Custom Home/Spec Home Priced $1-$2 million.
This year’s competition drew nearly 200 entries in 54 categories from builders, planners, architects, developers, designers, interior merchandisers, and other housing-related professionals within the twelve state Southeast region that also includes the eastern Caribbean.
Judge Donald Ruthroff, said this year’s competition was exceptionally diverse coming from across the Southeast. “Creative ideas in design do not know boundaries,” he said. “We found the variety and level of excellence to be particularly heartening this year.”
