CAPE CORAL, Fla. (Dec. 14, 2017) – The Cape Coral Community Foundation has launched the inaugural Power Players Professional Advisor Awards to recognize seven Southwest Florida community influencers. The 2018 honorees are: Real Estate Broker Gary Aubuchon, Miloff Aubuchon Realty Group; Accountant Keith Veres, HBK CPAs & Consultants; Financial planner Tom Uhler, Uhler and Vertich Financial Planners; Insurance agent Donna Caruso, New York Life Insurance Company; Banker Dorothy L. Blasingim, Regions Bank; Estate planner Amy McGarry, Amy McGarry Law Office, PL; and Attorney Guy Whitesman, Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A.
As the first of its kind in Southwest Florida, this event has been created to recognize distinguished Southwest Florida professional advisors in each industry and celebrate their community leadership and influence. The breakfast event and awards ceremony will be held on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Westin, Cape Coral.
Each of these Power Players has been identified by his or her peers, supervisor or human resources manager as a top advisor who conducts business with integrity and makes a substantial impact in Southwest Florida. These exceptional advisors have a proven track record in their respective fields while also dedicating their time, talent and treasure to philanthropic endeavors to enrich the community.
Award winners, sponsors and guests will be treated to a moderated discussion between leaders from the Cape Coral Community Foundation and Silicon Valley Community Foundation. The leaders of each will discuss strategic alignments with professional advisors in order to find creative solutions to benefit advisors’ clients and the foundation. They will explain the structure of those partnerships and how they positively impact clients and the community foundation with long-term success. Due in part to their strategic partnerships with professional advisors, Silicon Valley Community Foundation turned $1.4 billion in charitable assets under management in 2007 into more than $8.2 billion in charitable assets under management today.
Tickets are $25 in advance. Sponsorships begin at $500 and include tickets to the event plus a variety of promotional benefits and outreach opportunities.
