Lee County– On October 12, 2017 the Lee County Horizon Council presented Aubuchon Homes with the Business Citizenship Award at the annual Industry Appreciation luncheon. This prestigious honor is given to a company whose financial, volunteer and active involvement in community organizations and programs create a better quality of business and civic life in Lee County.
In 2016, Aubuchon Homes built a fully accessible home for local veteran Sgt. Corey Kent. Kent lost both his legs and all fingers from his left hand after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan. Aubuchon partnered with a nonprofit, Tunnel2Towers, and together made Kent’s dream of owning his own home, a reality. In 2017, Aubuchon Homes partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry counties to build a home in just 7 days for a single mom and her three children. More than twenty Aubuchon Homes’ staff members participated by building walls in the Habitat warehouse and in the actual construction of the home. Since 1998, the Aubuchon Team of Companies hosts an annual charity event, Helping Hands for the Holidays. Proceeds from the event benefit three local charities: Ronald McDonald House Charities SWFL, Make A Wish Southern Florida, and Lee BIA Builders Care. Collectively the Aubuchon Team of Companies has donated nearly $1 million to local charities.
Since 1992, Aubuchon Homes has designed and built more than 500 homes for satisfied customers; this year they celebrated their 25th Anniversary in business. Their Corporate Headquarters are located 4707 SE 9th Place, Cape Coral.
