We have a love of Cape Coral that has developed over a number of years, along with our knowledge of the area.
After we had secured our lot in the desired location, our main objective was to build a quality home that would maximize the setting and the views.
We knew to look no further than Aubuchon Homes, and very soon focused on the Sterling Collection.
From the first meetings with Brian, viewing and discussing design options - it was great fun planning the pool; lanais; summer kitchen, and in particular the observation decks. We would also like to acknowledge Allen Miloff's input.
We found Linda's assistance and advice invaluable in making the right selections for the house - a combination of good taste and experience.
Then to the Master Builder, Carl - the epitome of passion and professionalism. Carl's commitment to high standards and perfection is unsurpassed. We knew from the 'get-go' that our project was in safe hands.
Aubuchon Homes/Sterling Collection certainly achieved the overriding goal to "marry the home and design to the site". The views from all around the house are spectacular, especially overlooking the canals and the Caloosahatchee River.
We are of the firm belief that Aubuchon Homes/Sterling Collection have the strongest team, and are the undisputed leaders in their field.
To put it simply, it has been one the best experiences of our lives.
We are also delighted to have had the opportunity to continue our association with all of the team, including Evalutions, during the BIA Parade of Homes - and we are very pleased and proud that our home won a number of awards..... which is really another accolade for your great team.

Christine remodels and gets the home of her dreams.
We arrived in Cape Coral in 2007 due to a Job relocation. Upon arrival we were considered quite the catch to various Realtors because of our relocation package. We established separate contact info for various realtors because of the volume of calls and emails. We finally picked up our realtor, Madeline Miloff Spears during an open house. We just clicked and she seemed to understand our desires, was incredibly honest and non-obtrusive. Maddie escorted us on numerous days to view no less than 10 properties per day; however we just weren’t finding out dream home, which had to be waterfront.
After viewing upwards to 30 homes, Maddie suggested possibly building or remodeling. Building a new home would have been perfect; however we just couldn’t find the perfect lot. My husband wanted South-facing, direct access, no bridges, no locks which limited our search area dramatically. Maddie then suggested remodeling. This seemed beyond my abilities, although with Maddie’s assurance that we would have access to the entire Miloff Aubuchon network of experts, the search was on for the perfect home to remodel.
Ultimately we narrowed our choice to 3 homes, primarily due to location. Maddie arranged for Jim Aubuchon to tour each of the homes and he offered his feedback based on our desires and budgets. Jim then brought in Mike, their architect, whom listened, drew, created and presented the perfect solution to combine all of our desires.
During this developing process, Jim Aubuchon suggested I acquire additional pricing from other contractors and suppliers to assure we felt comfortable with the numbers. I received pricing from 3 other General contractors and sought individual pricing for hurricane windows, doors and kitchen designers. At the end of the day, I felt the most comfortable having Jim Aubuchon as my General Contractor and the pricing was well in line with the other quotes I received. I just felt that Miloff-Aubuchon was the company to complete the job correctly from start to finish and offered the most support, guidance and choices for a comparable price.
Every Sub-contractor (Acra Electric, Bennett Marine, Bay West Glass, Cape Coral Plumbing, Schmitt Framing, Sahara Cabinets, Ted’s Pools, P&T Landscaping, West Coast Pavers, to name a few) excelled at their crafts. The photos clearly illustrate what can be accomplished with a little vision and a lot of expertise. We are incredibly proud and comfortable in what we consider a brand new home.
I am not a decorator or designer but once introduced to Eva and Linda of Evolutions; I just felt I was in good hands. From start to finish, this remodel was the stuff of dreams. Color choices are a nightmare for me. Coordinating tiles, cabinets, back splashes, paint colors seemed beyond my abilities, however, I believe our home reflects the vibe that conveys our personalities and life styles perfectly. This just wouldn’t have happened without Eva and Linda and their expertise.
If given the opportunity, I would remodel again and again with Miloff-Aubuchon. I think this company offers a complete package, from purchasing, building, remodeling, decorating, titling and insurance needs or just being welcomed and introduced into a new City. We have relocated 5 different times and I can honestly say that Miloff-Aubuchon made this relocation the easiest and nicest by far.

After hearing nightmares from too many people about their choice of contractors, we have concluded that we made the right choice with your Sterling Collection. From the time that we stepped foot into The Monarch model and were greeted by the most professional sales associate that we have encountered, Peggy Senna, to the final walk thru with Carl Schmidt, who we found to be a no-nonsense team leader throughout the entire project, our experience has been nothing less than a success. Being in the construction business ourselves and having to rely on photos and the words of the construction team some 1500 miles away, was something that we were not looking forward to. But your team proved it can be done hassle free.

We knew from the beginning that we did the right decision in choosing you – the Sterling Collection Team – to build up our holiday home so far away from home. And even though we started the construction during a world wide economical and financial crisis and even though we were so far away we never doubted.
Brian, it was a great pleasure working with you. You made everything understandable and you always were able to feel our needs. Thank you!

Our Norway Friends Tell Their HomeBuilding Story

Our home country Norway is the most wonderful place on earth, but not always that wonderful during wintertime which can be cold, wet, and windy. We have therefore for several years planned to buy a house in a warmer country. We have considered Italy, Spain, and France where Norwegians normally would buy a winter or retirement house, but we found it to be too cold in the periods where we wanted to be there. Also the crime rate is very high and increasing in the areas that are most lucrative.
We have been to US many times, mostly business, but also some for pleasure. We have always liked to be in US, and the type of climate that is Florida was what we were looking for. An advantage for us is also the language; we are much more fluent in English compared to the different southern European languages. The disadvantage is of course the long way for us to go.
Late October 2005, after some business meetings in Minneapolis, we headed south to Tampa. We had been to Florida many times before, and we had decided to start looking for a place south of Tampa on the west coast, which is the part of Florida we like the best. Our only preparation before coming was looking at a few real estate homepages at the internet, and we had contacted two companies for appointments. The selection was only based on the quality of the homepage.
Arriving in Tampa we first run into some problems. There were no rental cars available due to a recent hurricane; a bad start. After some back and forth on the airport we got on a bus to Sarasota, and luckily we got the last available car, a minivan, at the airport in Sarasota. We then stayed at the Keys outside Sarasota for a couple of days looking at houses, and a broker showed us some beautiful houses. After that we headed south to Cape Coral, where we had an agreement with a lady by the name Maria Lewis. She had the nicest homepage at that time, with a lot of houses listed in the area. Our intention was absolutely not to buy anything at this first trip, but just surf the market to see if there was something suitable for us. We did have one special requirement and that was that we needed docking space for a large boat.
Arriving Cape Coral we found Maria waiting for us. She was well prepared and had like 5 to 6 different houses that were for sale, all with good docking space for the boat. All the houses were beautiful houses that we enjoyed very much to see, but none of the houses were like we could not leave without buying. We followed our plan, explored the area and looked at houses both in Fort Myers and Cape Coral. We liked Cape Coral best, there was no doubt; we liked it so much we could buy a house there.
We think we used a couple of days driving around looking at different houses before Maria asked us if we wouldn’t think of building a house; there were several lots for sale. Our answer was no, but Maria showed us a couple of Aubuchon houses, and we immediately fell in love with the Casa Palermo house, the model house at Cape Coral Parkway. Maria introduced us to Peggy Senna, and we started looking at prices for building a house like that. We soon found it was not a bad idea to build a house, we could then more or less get exactly what we wanted for about the same price. Now of course we see that this is not completely true, but we have only ourselves to blame for that.
We sat down in the evening, took a glass of wine or maybe two, and discussed what to do. We agreed it was crazy to start building a house in Florida, thousands of miles from home without knowing anyone, and in a market that not is renowned for its honesty. On the other hand, Maria gave a very good impression, speaking favorably about Aubuchon as a company we could absolutely rely on. Peggy as well gave a very good impression. We all went seeing houses and lots, and we started to feel confident. One evening we were invited by Maria and her husband, Larry, to their yacht club; we had a very nice evening.

 Just a letter to say THANKS! to the entire Aubuchon team and all the contractors.
When we decided to build our home we had a lot of people tell us things like, "oh man you are in for a nightmare of an experience" or "the company we just built with was terrible". Since this was our first time building we were wondering if we were going to have the same comments by the end of the project.
Well just the opposite happened. From the first time we met Peggy we felt good about Aubuchon and the way they operated. Peggy did a great job of explaining the entire process and how it all would work. We chose to have the Evalutions folks do all the decorating and we can't tell you how many people come into our house and want one just like it.
I don't know the first thing about building a house but one thing I do know is that you all made it very easy for us to work with you. Our superintendent Mike has been overseeing the project from the beginning and has offered many suggestions on things that we may have missed. Also any issues that came up he took care of, no questions asked. I don't think we could have asked for a better superintendent.
Thanks for not just building our house, but building a HOME for us.

Jim Aubuchon has been dedicated to taking care of our every need. Eva Stulb initiated our fun decorating project. Later Diane Noga came on the scene. She has done an excellent job and has also given helpful ideas and advice. She has always taken into consideration our taste as well. Her patience has been appreciated. She has really gone the extra mile and has made the decoraing overall look "flow"!

We would like to thank you and the whole Aubuchon team for a truly outstanding experience during the building of our home. We are thrilled with our new home and look forward to occupying it on a permanent basis. You have far exceeded our expectations in every aspect.
During the 2 1/2 + years of our extended planning, selection and construction phases, Aubuchon personnel were with us every step of the way. We appreciate all the helpful suggestions and recommendations we have received along the way and have incorporated as many as were financially feasible.
We would particularly like to thank Jeff Miloff for nurturing the dream; the Evalutions staff especially Jacque and Eva , for their patience, guidance and tasteful suggestions; and the "super-supers"; Carl and Jim, who worked with us throughout the construction phase. We also appreciate your assistance in finding a way to eliminate the slider column and your suggestion for down sizing the house and lowering the cost of the staircase.
We were also fortunate to have been here during key construction phases and were able to benefit from the insight of numerous sub-contractors, particularly Phil Schmidt during the framing stage. In addition, please pass along our appreciation to Tom Hinkle for designing us a truly awesome house.
While it was difficult at times being up north while construction was underway, we were confident that our Aubuchon representatives would act in our best interest. When problems arose, we were consulted and the solution was developed in a competent and professional manner.
Thanks again for all your support. The Aubuchon team is not only very competent but the individuals are all very ethical as well as being very nice people that we would be proud to call our friends.

John and Cathy Finney's First New Home
Dear Gary,
Cathy and I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for making our home building project such an enjoyable experience.
We have been married for 40 years and this is our first new home. Of course we heard all the stories and received symapthy from well meaning friends regarding the perils of home building. However, we just smiled and said we were't the least bit concerned because we were building with Aubuchon. What a self-fufilling prophecy that turned out to be.
Cathy and I have enjoyed every aspect of the construction process. As you told us... building a home is a journey, not a race... and here we are at the end of our journey with a lot of great memories (not to mention many rolls of film). We know there are a lot of people behind the scene that make everything work so well, but we would like to extend special thanks to the folks that we worked with on a daily basis.
To being with, we know that all the inherent admirable qualities of any great company must come directly from the top, the owners must decide what kind of company they want to grow. So we begin by expressing our admiration to the Aubuchon's for setting and maintaining a standard of quality and integrity for the homes they build.
Next we want to thank Eva and Diane. What a dynamic duo they are, amazing talent, personality and a rare and genuine concern about doing things right. Eva-Lutions is a fantastic idea and one that brings the building process full circle.
Finally, Cathy and I can't begin to say what a pleasure it was to work with Carl. He made things happen, whether they wanted to or not. He was always "in charge" , always available, always ready to do what ever needed to be done to make us happy and ensure everything was right. He is a tremendous asset to Aubuchon.

My wife and I, after several disappointing experiences with other builders, selected Aubuchon Homes to build a major addition onto our home.
We have been extremely pleased with the progress, the quality and the workmanship that we see. The addition is not complete; yet based on what we see so far, we are convinced that we made an excellent choice. We were sure that this major addition would cause some strife in our household.

Dear Team Aubuchon,
After hearing all the warnings from people that I met in the area; I never thought I would have had such a pleasurable experience with a builder in Cape Coral. Everyone told me that I was asking for nothing but trouble if I attempted to build a home here while I still lived in New York. My experience was quite the opposite, and it compelled me to write this letter of appreciation.
First, I would like to thank Rick Anzola for convincing me to work with Aubuchon Homes. Rick, I appreciate your persistence and professionalism.
I have worked with many builders and contractors in New York, and Gary Aubuchon is an honest businessman. I would recommend you and everyone at Aubuchon to anyone who wants to build a home.
Next I must mention Jim Aubuchon who oversaw the construction of my home from start to finish. Jim, you are a true gentleman and a man of your word. You made the vision of my dream house a reality, and you allowed a possibly hectic experience to become a fun and exciting one.
After the foundation was poured and the walls raised the design team stepped in to offer expert advice and individual visions. To Eva, Jacque and Diane; you all helped us to discover our own style and to maximize our home to become not only uniquely beautiful but also comfortably livable.
I could not end this letter without giving special thanks to Jerry Aubuchon. I felt that you took special care of my home, and I sincerely looked forward to our conversations each morning.
We continue to discover new ways to enjoy our new home and we do not think the transition from New York to Florida could have been as painless if we had chosen another builder with whom to work.

Dear Gary and Associates,
Damon and I have been in our new home for nearly six month now and we still pinch ourselves to make sure we're not dreaming.
We are grateful to you and your company from the very onset of this project building our house through it's completion.
As you recall, we had been your next door neighbors to your "Home of the Year" model. We took all of our guest next door for the grand tour and your sales team became our friends, especially Allen Miloff, Peggy Senna, and Rick Anzola. They were always welcoming, warm and friendly. This was the beginning of wonderful relationships.
Allen Miloff helped us find out about owning an Aubuchon home. When the time came we listed our house with him. (Miloff Aubuchon Realty Group, Inc.) Allen was always accessible, knowledgeable, kind and professional. I'm certain there were times that he felt as if he was joined to us at the hip! Poor guy, but he had a great sense of humor and dealt beautifully with us.
When we sat down with "our team" at Omni One, we were certain we had made the right choice. The camaraderie of the employees at the table showed us they were confident in what they were doing and enjoyed their challenges and their work. That was our only contact with Derek Woolf and we appreciate his skill in designing our house.
And that's when we met Darryl Aubuchon, our building superintendent. Darryl has built us a home that already withstood a tornado and hurricane Charley! We were in Massachusetts when our friends, who were pet sitting for us needed to evacuate Pine Island due to the hurricane. Darryl took time that I'm sure he didn't have, to get a key to them so they could stay in our home during the hurricane. They too have testified to the fact that this Aubuchon home is strong, sturdy and well built. We watched this house grow daily and Darryl was always available to answer our questions. He too was always friendly, courteous and informative.
Marco Arcentales, Jacque Miloff and Eva Stulb helped me through the selection process. The choices before me were so beautiful! I appreciated their input and I always looked forward to my appointments with them. It was such fun.
Upon moving into the house, it was clean thanks to the gals from Sister Act. Brian Joswick has done, and continues to do, excellent punch out work for us. He's always punctual, thorough and friendly. We know that we can count on him when needed. And the subcontractors, that we have contacted, have all been courteous and reliable.
And then there is Diane Noga with Evalutions, who is transforming our beautiful house into this lovely home. She's attentive to what I say, my likes and dislikes, and always comes up with the perfect solution. She has a wonderful eye for creativity and great expertise in design. She's helped us blend the old in along with the new. She's fun and a joy to work with along with her sidekick Tasha. When the house is decorated, I'm going to miss our meetings. We are grateful to Diane and thankful for this service that's offered to your clients.
There are so many people in your organization that I haven't named behind all the work that went into selling our previous home and building the new one. We are appreciative to everyone.

I clearly remember the first time I walked into your model with Mark Miloff. He was informative, friendly and truly seemed to trust the product he was selling. Then we got to meet Carl - what a sweet heart. He stood and went through the blueprints with us. I had no idea what I was looking at but he patiently explained everything. Throughout construction Carl kept us informed and any calls made to him were promptly answered.
Then "Charlie" came and caused some delays. Carl took the time to call us and assure that the house was fine. We also had to push him for completion due to work issues and the "miracle man" did what we needed. I have never in my life meet people like this!
Once I moved in Carl came over and we walked thru and he explained a lot of things about the house that I needed to know. We had some small problems but for the size of this house I feel the construction was EXCEPTIONAL!
I only had one panic situation - the plumbing stopped draining. The plumber was not responding so I contacted Carl and within three hours the plumber was here and problem fixed.
The pool also had a problem which we called the first day to have corrected. When Artesion had not come back on Monday, Carl did something and they showed up two hours later. He is AWESOME!
To top this off - my son had tried to put in a mailbox before leaving. He must have hit a rock and thought it was all rocks - so the box did not get put up. Carl stopped by and put that up too!

I would like to take this time to share with you our experience with Karen Terbenche. We have been working with Karen since April 2009, as she helped us short sale our investment property in Cape Coral. Lynn and I would like to share our experience with you.
Karen was referred to us by Marc Strengholt who we were using for our rental property. How did you learn about Aubuchon Homes?

About five years ago, we saw an Aubuchon model home and we met a New Home Consultant named Terry Mell. We liked him a lot. We looked at other builder’s models and noticed a vast difference in quality between Aubuchon and the others.

Why did you choose Aubuchon Homes to build your new home?
Rick Adams:
We’re both professional Realtors with 50 years of experience between us. We’ve seen a lot of different attitudes about building. The quality of the homes and people at Aubuchon Homes speaks for itself. We knew it would be a good experience to build with them. We believe in this company. This is actually our second home with Aubuchon. We built the first one in the southwest part of Cape Coral in 2004; then, we got a great deal on this lot in Cape Harbour.

What is your home’s most unique feature?
Rick Adams:
We have a set of custom-made mahogany French entry doors. They’re beautiful! We spent four months working with the designers and suppliers of the doors at Naples Lumber. Aubuchon Homes worked very well with them.

I have convinced several friends and clients from New Jersey to build with Aubuchon. This company minimizes headaches. Working with Aubuchon is as good as it gets for a home builder!

It's no secret that hurricanes have hit southwest Florida with a vengeance over the past 2 years. Just ask Bill and Jackie Vossman. They rode out Charley, Frances, Jeanne, and Wilma!
When asked what it was like staying in their Aubuchon home through one of the most intense hurricanes of 2004, Hurricane Charley, Bill summed it up in one word: "scary!" With a few essentials such as a flashlight, canned goods, and of course their family dog, Lucy, they took cover in their hurricane "safe room", an air-conditioned, windowless store room built to withstand intense wind speeds. Charley’s winds reached 105 mph, and, while the whole thing lasted only a few hours, they described it as lasting a lifetime.
Once the storm was over, they examined their home and found only structural damage to the lanai cage and minor water leakage through the roof vent. Their lanai doors creaked and groaned throughout Charley, but never failed. They were one of the lucky ones. It should be noted Bill and Jackie’s home was permitted before the last round of building code changes for hurricane protection, so today’s Aubuchon homes are even more hurricane-safe.
Bill describes the construction of his home: “I watched the entire construction of this house, and the framing job the guys did was like none I’ve ever seen. Even today, as I look at other houses being built, the amount of lumber and structural bracing seems miniscule compared to my Aubuchon home. The Aubuchon Team builds a high quality, structurally superior house.”
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill and Jackie are retired from GE Aircraft Engines and made Cape Coral their home after visiting the area several years ago. The couple toured Aubuchon’s Home of The Year model in 2001, and were very impressed with the quality and the adaptability of the floor plan to their specific desires, the Aubuchon name in the community, and the reasonable investment amount. Today, Bill, Jackie and Lucy have been in their home for 3.5 years, and tell us how happy they are to have built with Aubuchon. In fact, Jackie calls it her fortress!

First Impressions Make A Difference
Thanks for setting up the showing on NO notice, and please accept my apology for not calling in advance. I touring the area in preparation for showings with some Buyers who were attracted to the outside of this home, so we decided to see if it could be done without disturbing the Owners. Jessica did a GREAT job, even following up when I suggested we'd call for an appointment later.
The home is immaculate, well-located and meticulously appointed - it shows pride of ownership, an attraction of its own weight and merit. As a result, it's on a rather-long "short list" of homes to consider for purchase, and I'd be happy to see this one be "the one" for these folks.
